Repetition [The action of repeating an action or event] is a handlers way of letting the dog know what to expect in the lesson, it instills an important and incomparable trust bond between an Epagneul Breton and its handler.  Repetition and association work hand and hand with each other to instill the desired result in a lesson with pressure applied, repetition can also contain a time stamp, letting the dog know its daily agenda.

Examples of repetition.

-feeding time

-bathroom time

-nap time

-exercise time

-toy time

-water barrel time

-dog steadiness sequence

-running time

Repetition works at its best in closed quarters and/or where the dog is controlled* it can also be used with lessons before during and after applying pressure to empower a dog within certain stages of a lesson to gain additional positive motivation.  An ideal Epagneul Breton will identify the repetition, clear it’s mind and focus on the lesson being taught speeding up the association.
