“Emma” our first

In 2002 our family moved 1 hour west from the Minneapolis suburbs, shortly after I decided to purchase a dog and pick up pheasant hunting as a regular pastime.  I needed a breed that would train easily, live well with the family, hunt tirelessly, and a smaller breed seemed appropriate.

In my quest for the right dog I stumbled upon the Epagneul Breton, at that time what intrigued me about the breed was the few “breeders” that were operating were importing dogs from Europe which in my mind were free of American breeding practices thus producing better dogs.
